Rowan is the Vice-Chair and Chair of the Academic Committee and has been a Governor since 2014.
She has had a successful and fulfilling career in teaching, largely in the independent sector with particular experience of academically selective girls’ schools. After ten years in Headship at two schools, St Margaret’s School, Exeter (2004-2008) and St Helen and St Katharine, Abingdon (2008 – 2014), she retired from her post in Oxford in 2014 to live permanently in Devon with her partner Bill Gott, also a teacher. She is an experienced Governor and ISI inspector.
A keen sportswoman, Rowan played netball for England and currently enjoys an active life playing tennis and golf regularly.
