At Exeter School, we believe that learning should be engaging and inspiring. The school has a number of high-quality ICT facilities, with four dedicated rooms in the senior school, custom suites for music, design technology, and sixth form study, and a specialist suite in the junior school.

At Exeter School, we understand the power of knowledge and the importance of research. Our well-stocked libraries offer a vast collection of books, digital resources, and online databases that cater to a wide range of interests and academic pursuits. From classics to contemporary literature, our libraries provide a quiet and welcoming atmosphere for pupils to explore, study, and expand their intellectual horizons.

We believe in the importance of a healthy body as well as a healthy mind. Our expansive sports facilities cater to a variety of athletic pursuits. In addition to the large playing fields, the school has its own 3G astroturf arena, sports hall and fitness suite, studio area, climbing wall, indoor shooting range, squash courts, and an all-weather court.

The indoor 25m swimming pool opened in summer 2017. Exeter Junior School pupils in Years 3 and 4 enjoy swimming lessons all year round and older children also make use of the pool during their curriculum PE lessons. The pool enables Exeter School to focus on competitive swimming as well as allowing pupils to take part in a range of other water activities such as water polo and lifesaving.

Pupils have ample opportunities to engage in sports and physical activities. Our facilities support a wide range of sports, including rugby, hockey, football, cricket, tennis, athletics, squash, basketball, swimming, and more, allowing pupils to develop their athletic abilities, teamwork skills, and a lifelong passion for fitness.

Exeter School recognises the importance of fostering a sense of community and providing spaces where pupils can relax, socialise, and build lasting friendships. Our newly refurbished, comfortable sixth form common room offers inviting spaces for pupils to unwind, collaborate, and connect. Whether it’s catching up with friends, engaging in group projects, or simply enjoying some downtime, our common room and cafe area provides a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for pupils to feel at home within our school community.

We are pleased to offer homemade and nutritious hot and cold meals every lunchtime in our dining room, including vegan and vegetarian options which are enjoyed by staff and pupils alike across the school. Food intolerances can be catered for, please discuss your requirements with the catering manager.

Exeter Junior School has a secure play space, including a mini astroturf and a wide range of play equipment with a soft rubber floor. The junior school has a flexible assembly hall and dedicated facilities for junior school art, along with laboratory space for science and technology. As the senior and junior schools share the same campus, the junior school has access to all the school’s facilities across the site

Exeter Pre-Prep School, where education meets history! Located within the charming village of Exminster, our unique pre-prep school is housed in a beautifully restored old chapel. Here, we blend the charm of the past with modern educational facilities to create an inspiring learning environment for our youngest pupils, with Nursery to Year 2 on this site.

The Chapel, our historic building, once a place of worship, has been transformed into a vibrant learning space. Its high ceilings, stained glass windows, and intricate architectural details create an awe-inspiring academic setting. The Chapel serves as the heart of our school, where pupils gather for assemblies, performances, lunch, and community events.
