Upper One R had an enjoyable day exploring the Exe Estuary, participating in practical investigations. The children had fun searching for shells and discovering crabs, while learning about various species that inhabit the mudflats. Mrs Van demonstrated her expertise with a spade during the lugworm and ragworm search and we were all very impressed with how many she found! Despite soggy socks and wet feet, there were plenty of smiles and it was a great day had by all. It was fantastic being able to make use of the local area, which complemented our curriculum, brought the learning to life and enhancing the geography learning back in the classroom.
