Upper Two screen printing workshop

The Upper Two art monitors were treated to a creative workshop, where they were inspired by Matisse. Mrs Rafferty-White introduced flowing shapes and colours which inspired the children to create their own striking compositions. Once the children had carefully cut out their designs, they enjoyed their first experience of screen printing, adding a second layer of colour. Hattie said she didn’t realise how strong you needed to be to carefully squeeze the ink through to her design! Izzy was very pleased with her colour choices. All of the children were very proud of their artwork and we would like to thank Mrs Rafferty-White for her time and for facilitating such a lovely workshop. Our junior school pupils loved experiencing the senior school art spaces and look forward to many more inspiring creations there in the future!
