Some of our house groups were lucky to meet Alice, a guide dog who was in school today with her carer, Suzanne who is registered blind herself. Suzanne and Diana are representatives of the Guide Dogs Association which is the houses’ joint charity this year. The ladies spoke to our pupils and inspired them about the important work guide dogs do and the difference fundraising can make. It was an informative session with pupils coming away eager to think of ways to fundraise. A lucky few also had the chance to meet Diane’s four-month-old puppy after the presentation. This needed to be done in a smaller group setting as the puppy is still undergoing training to become a guide dog. We thank them for their visit and look forward to working with them further.
