Last weekend the U15 and U14 netballers travelled to Manchester for a 3-day netball tour. A fabulous weekend was had by all with an itinerary which included training at Manchester Thunder with South African international Shadine van de Merwe, matches versus Stockport GS and Manchester Thunder development squads, ten pin bowling, great accommodation and company and a women’s premier league fixture between Manchester United and Aston Villa. The girls (and staff) all returned exhausted but having had a great netball experience. Let’s hope they can take some of that tour spirit and some of the skills they learnt on tour into the remainder of the season.
