The Middle Fifth GCSE Religious Studies group has hosted several visitors recently. First, Jeremy Roberts explained his motivation and experiences whilst completing the Camino de Santiago and then author and journalist Miriam Khan explained some of the issues facing Muslims. Grace commented on the first visit: “I thought the talk on pilgrimage was captivating. It greatly improved my knowledge on the topic. My favourite part was being able to improve my understanding of how a pilgrimage affects a person spiritually, mentally and physically.” Toby appreciated our visitor’s openness and candour and Poppy added, “I found it to be really interesting to get a personal insight into him and his wife’s lives and to learn how he approached his pilgrimage.”
