At the end of last term, we welcomed a number of pupils from Germany as part of our exchange programme. They were able to experience school life, taking part in lessons, as well as exploring the local area. This exchange is a great way for pupils to practice and improve their language skills, whilst also developing friendship with their German counterparts.
Ariana S in Upper Fifth reflects on the experience:
Last year, we went to Germany for an exchange, and now we have been able to have them back over here. This week included the exchange students going on a trip to Lyme Regis and Bath and us spending a weekend with them- going to castle Drogo and to Exmouth. They also got to experience our school life and join us in lessons. I enjoyed this week so much and getting to see them again. The whole experience has also been very beneficial towards our GCSE’s and for a few people, their A Levels in order to improve for our exams in the summer.
