Sporting success in the junior school

Posted: 4th October 2024

Pupils in the junior school have enjoyed an array of sporting success over the past few weeks, securing numerous titles in the process.

Athletics

Last weekend, Harrison, in Upper Two, entered the notoriously difficult Bradninch Bolt race -a 3.3km race with a steep climb of 115m up hill- and came first in the U12 category. He also managed secure 4th place overall, beating the majority of the adult entrants along the way!

Tennis

Over the summer, Isabelle, in Upper One, won the 8U Torbay Open Tennis tournament (Grade 3) and the Devon Junior County Championships (Grade 3) and was thrilled to add more trophies to her growing collection. After a highly competitive selection process, Isabelle has also been offered a place in the 9U Girls Devon County Tennis Training Programme. She has already taken part in her first training session and is now focused on working hard to represent Devon in the County Cup next year.
