Artist of the moment – Freddy in Upper Fifth

Posted: 27th September 2024

The art department regularly recognises the achievements of individual pupils in the senior school through the award of the title, ‘Artist of the Moment’. Entries cover a wide range of disciplines, including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, installation and mixed media celebrating the diverse talents of pupils in our co-educational day school.

This week we are celebrating the work of Freddy in Upper Fifth. Photographing his sister Maddie through a series of thematic, fictional situations his embodies the work of Photographer Cindy Sherman. Freddy explored the narrative behind identity and truth through his bold use of colour, composition, and viewpoint. Great work Freddy (and thank you to Maddie for acting the role).

Open evening - 8 May

At Exeter School we believe that education is about the moments that make us. Meaningful moments that get etched in our memories and the everyday kindness that makes them possible. We welcome you to discover Exeter School in the best way possible. See it. Experience it. Ask questions to the people who matter the most – our pupils.
