Action packed ‘super’ Wednesday

The campus was full of sporting fixtures this Wednesday as week four marked the start of a busy mid-week fixture schedule. Both 1st teams were in action with the 1st XV rugby playing in the national cup against Ivybridge College and the 1st XI girl’s hockey against West Buckland.

1st XV Rugby vs Ivybridge

The 1st XV were involved in a fiery encounter against their Devon rivals and, despite leading in the early stages of the game, did not do enough to beat a very good opposition (22-30). The girls’ were also involved in great match drawing 1-1 with West Buckland School thanks to a goal from Jasmine (U6).

There were also fixtures for the 2nd XI girl’s hockey squad who beat the same opponents 2-1 away from home and a fantastic cup win for the U15s in the national cup against Wellington (31-19). This was their first win of the season and will give them great confidence moving forward.
