We are proud to bring news that some of our middle school pupils continue to excel in their sailing. Berenice (Lower Fifth), Annabel (Lower Fifth) and William (Fourth Form) were selected for the British youth sailing Feva South West regional training group last September. Over the winter, they have been coached by Royal Yachting Association (RYA) coaches over 14 days and competed at events throughout the southwest and beyond.

Over June half term they all competed in the RS Feva Nationals at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, with Berenice and Annabel gaining 8th in the silver fleet and 2nd all female boat in the silver fleet. William and his partner gained 6th in the silver fleet. This was a 4 day competition, with a fleet of 103 boats in challenging and changing conditions.

Berenice, Annabel and William are also competing in the regional championships at Weymouth and Portland National sailing academy on the 22-23 June and they are all representing Great Britain at the RS Feva world championships in Holland in July. We can’t wait to hear about how they get on.
