Clay chameleons from Form One

Posted: 29th May 2024

student with their art work

Our Form Ones have been linking their learning about the rainforest in Geography to the art room! After studying the colours, shapes, and textures of the rainforest chameleon, they carefully crafted them out of clay. Once they had dried, the children enjoyed choosing their colours. They got to choose whether they wanted their chameleon to camouflage or stand out. Finally, they had the more independent task of creating a backdrop. They decided they wanted their backgrounds to join up, so they ended up taking control! It was a delight to watch them collaborate, mix colours and share ideas for their rainforest habitat.
