Off to Nationals in Nuneaton!

Congratulations to the 7 athletes who qualified for the National Prep School athletics finals last Sunday.

Really well done to all the athletes who competed at the Devon Prep Schools athletics meet hosted by Mount Kelly last Sunday. On a scorching day, it was a delight to witness all the incredible performances across all events. Schools that were in attendance were Mount Kelly, Exeter Cathedral School, St Peter’s, Stover and West Buckland.

Notable performances from the day included –

Astrid B-W – 800m – 1st

Kiera M – Javelin (breaking the record that has stood since 2008) and 200m – 1st

Xylina B – 100m – 1st

Girls 4 x 100m relay – 1st

Amelie C – Javelin – 2nd

Hugo K – 100m – 2nd

Mad d-P – 800m – 2nd

Luke B – Discus – 2nd

Lilly A – Long Jump – joint 2nd

Jonathan C – High Jump – joint 2nd

Holly J – High Jump – 2nd

Iona M – Discus – 2nd

Ioan T – Long Jump – 2nd

Benjamin R – 1500m – 2nd

4 x100m relay – 2nd

Tom M – Long Jump – 3rd

Arthur C – Javelin – 3rd

William M – Javelin – 4th

Georgie G-W – Discus – 4th

We now have 7 pupils who have qualified for nationals that take place later on this term in Nuneaton. Well done and good luck to all performers.
