Devon champions!

Posted: 16th June 2023

Congratulations to the U11A boys cricket team who were crowed the winners in the recent Devon hardball finals.

William M, the captain of the team says “Two of the games were really close but we played well as a team and managed to win. Every one of my team mates shone in different ways, either by taking a wicket or 2, scoring runs or taking the odd catch. We are now looking forward to playing in the West Finals and the next round of games.”

After a challenging start v West Buckland, the team managed to conclude the tournament by winning their final two games, ensuring they progress through to the West of England finals as Devon champions, taking place at King’s College Taunton next week. Well done to all players and Mr Maidment who has been working with the team this season and Mr Ashman for organising the event.
